SUMMERTIME SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR HAIR

17 Jul 2023

Summer is here and it’s time to pay extra attention to your haircare routine. This season can bring its fair share of challenges, including exposure to harmful UV rays, excessive heat, humidity, and chlorine damage. However, with the right knowledge and care, you can keep your locks looking luscious and healthy throughout the sunny months. In this blog, we’re sharing just a few of our top tips on summertime survival for hair:

  1. Hydration is Key. Just as your skin and body need hydration during the hot summer months, so does your hair. The sun’s rays can dry out your hair, making it prone to damage and frizz. To combat this, make sure to drink plenty of water and use hydrating hair products.

Product Recommendation:
KMS MOISTREPAIR LEAVE IN CONDITIONER

2. Shield from the Sun. Prolonged sun exposure can weaken and fade your hair colour, leaving it brittle and off-tone. Protect your colour by using hair products that contain UV filters or wearing a hat or headscarf scarf when you’re out in the sun.

Product Recommendation:
GOLDWELL DUAL SENSES SUN REFLECTION UV SPRAY

3. Prevent water damage. Chlorine and salt water can really damage your hair, so before taking a dip in the pool or ocean, wet your hair with clean water to minimise chlorine or salt absorption. Afterwards, rinse your hair thoroughly and apply a deep conditioning treatment.

Product Recommendation:
ORIBE SUPERSHINE MOISTURIZING CREAM

4. Regular Trims. Summer is a good time to get a trim and eliminate any split ends or damaged hair. Regular trims keep your hair looking fresh and healthy and also promote faster hair growth.

Sustainable Colour

18 May 2023

As part of our belief system and duty to offer the best to our clients, we are thrilled to announce the arrival of a sustainable and conscious colour product at HARE & BONE. Topchic Zero is a new addition to our salon partner Goldwell’s colour portfolio. Extensive research and resources have gone into developing a range that is an ammonia-free permanent colour, which also offers 100% natural grey coverage. The formula is 98% biodegradable, the packaging is made from 100% recycled and recyclable packaging material and the products are carbon neutral.

We really enjoyed the training behind this range and are excited about the results we’re seeing in the salons. Anything that adds to the overall well-being of our clients and the planet is welcome at HARE & BONE.

Welcome home Chloe

We are so happy to announce that today our friend and colleague, Chloe has returned to Fitzrovia. Chloe worked with us from the very beginning before moving to Hong Kong in 2018.  Colour has always been her strength and direction but she loves every aspect of salon life. We know many people will be happy to see Chloe again. Her energy and enthusiasm for hair are infectious, and she’ll be working with the team to support the next generation of HARE & BONE stylists.
